We are Evolving!

Lancaster Pride C.A.R.E.S

Since its inception, Lancaster Pride has continuously hosted a magnificent yearly festival that has grown to reach 8,000+ visitors. To do this, the festival itself has had to evolve in many ways. Just as the festival has evolved to achieve spectacular results, so must the Lancaster Pride Board itself.

Over the last several months, Lancaster Pride has noticed the need for a community leader to rise up and be a beacon of hope. We have seen a spike in inquiries from the LGBTQIA+ Community and allies, seeking guidance about various resources, events, and volunteer opportunities. Our organization recognizes this gap has grown substantially given recent events and political actions.

Lancaster Pride has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to combat this need for a leader, a beacon of hope, and guidance. Therefore, today we are announcing our organizational rebrand. More than just a festival, Lancaster Pride CARES about the community, so much so we have adapted CARES as the new pillars for our organization.

Community, Advocacy, Resources, Education, Safe spaces.

Using these pillars, we intend to be that beacon for the Community. We are now a safe space that everyone can reach out to for resource information, various queer-friendly event information, allied businesses, and much more. Our website will be updated to provide easy access for your use as well. If we don’t know the information, we will point you in the direction of someone who does know. We are here to stand up for you and give you a platform to be heard and unapologetically yourself.

To help us expedite this process, Lancaster Pride is opening several board positions ranging from Members at Large to Director Level roles. If you wish to be part of this journey and want to join the team, you are in luck. For those interested, you can view and apply for various roles via www.lancasterpride.org in the next few weeks. Questions regarding Lancaster Pride’s new rebrand or position availability can be directed to [email protected].
